About GovTally

GovTally is a neutral, well-sourced public reference on U.S. elected officials and candidates — their offices, votes, campaign finance, endorsements, and stated positions. It aggregates government records and other public/CC0 sources into one place so anyone can look up the record and trace every claim back to where it came from.

Disclaimer

• Every fact links to its primary source. Where you see a vote, a contribution, a position, or an endorsement, you can follow it to the original record (a government API, an official filing, or a cited document) and verify it yourself.
• Data may contain errors. Source data can be incomplete, delayed, mislabeled, or wrong at the source, and our processing can introduce errors. Do not rely on GovTally as a sole source — verify anything important against the linked primary source.
• Automated summaries and classifications (issue tags, funding-type labels, one-paragraph summaries) are generated by software, grounded in the underlying records, and are characterizations, not official statements. Dollar amounts, vote outcomes, and dates are taken directly from structured records, never invented. Such content is badged AI-generated throughout the site.
• No endorsement. GovTally does not endorse or oppose any candidate, official, party, or position. Inclusion is not a judgment of merit.

We take accuracy seriously and treat corrections as first-class. If you believe something is inaccurate, use the corrections form or email [email protected] with a link to the page and, where possible, the primary source that supports it. Because every datum carries its source and retrieval metadata, we can trace and fix issues quickly, and we aim to acknowledge reports within one business day. See also our terms of use.

All load-bearing data is CC0 or U.S.-government public domain. Restricted sources are reserved for verification only. Each feed below is recorded on GovTally's provenance backbone — every fact-bearing row references the exact fetch it came from.
